At Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, the Loret Ruppe International Student Scholarship provides international undergraduates with financial awards ranging from $1,000 to $24,000 per year. Named in honor of former Peace Corps Director and US Ambassador Loret Ruppe, the scholarships are based on scholastic achievement, participation in co-curricular activities (such as sports, music, or drama), community service, and financial need. Scholarships are renewable each academic year if students maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
International students are also eligible for the Wartburg College Meistersinger Music Scholarships, which recognize students skilled in vocal, keyboard, and instrumental music. Check Wartburg’s Global Admissions website in early 2012 for scholarship information for the 2012-13 academic year.
