Department of Politics and International Relations offers two fully funded PhD Studentships in Government and Political Theory at the University of Leicester. The studentships will pay UK/EU tuition fees for three years and include an annual stipend (worth at least £13,590 each year) and research training support grant (worth £750 each year). Eligibility: Applicants must have a first-class or high upper second-class honours degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant discipline and meet the University’s standard English language entry requirements. It is expected that applicants will have a relevant Masters degree or be able to show evidence that they will achieve this before October 2013.

Scholarship Description: The Department of Politics and International Relations is pleased to offer two fully-funded studentships for October 2013 entry to its Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme. The studentships are open to applicants wishing to pursue doctoral research in the fields of Government or Political Theory. The successful applicants will join one of our research clusters – either in Parties, Participation, and Public Opinion or Global Ethics and Political Theory. Applications from a wide range of research areas are welcomed, including Euroscepticism, comparative politics, and electoral politics (Government) and citizenship, rights, and justice (Political Theory).
