2013 Business School International Undergraduate Scholarships in UK

2013 Call for Applications: SICRISA Fellowships for Researchers in South Asia


Applications are invited for a two year SICRISA (Support to Improve Climate Research and Information Services in South Asia) project which is funded by the UK Department for International Development. This project is available for the researchers from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal or Pakistan who are working on any aspect of climate change research. 20 fellowships are available and 15 participants will be selected for each of two writing workshops which will be held in April-May 2013 in Delhi and Dhaka. Through fellowships and residential writing workshops, South Asian scientists (including social scientists) will be trained and supported to: -Publish in peer reviewed journals, -Write for different types of publication aimed at a range of audiences, -Increase their influence on policy, -Raise the profile of their research through the media.
The project is managed by a group of four institutions, all with considerable experience of capacity-building activities (including running writing workshops and supporting and mentoring authors for various types of publications), producing and editing special issues of journals on climate related issues, and working with scientists and the media to improve communication and understanding.
