2013 Business School International Undergraduate Scholarships in UK

When the applicant  apply to Student Finance England there is a box on the form which asks whether the students are happy for his/her information to be shared: by sharing the information the student will automatically be considered for the University of Hull Scholarship or Bursary. The fee for the undergraduate programme is £ 11,760 and these scholarships will be deducted from their tuition fee at registration. 2013 Call for Applications: SICRISA Fellowships for Researchers in South Asia


Applications are invited for a two year SICRISA (Support to Improve Climate Research and Information Services in South Asia) project which is funded by the UK Department for International Development. This project is available for the researchers from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal or Pakistan who are working on any aspect of climate change research. 20 fellowships are available and 15 participants will be selected for each of two writing workshops which will be held in April-May 2013 in Delhi and Dhaka. Interested applicants can apply either for a residential workshop or a fellowship but not for both.

Scholarship Description: Climate change researchers from South Asia (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Pakistan) are invited to apply to participate in a new fellowship programme or a residential writing workshop to be held in South Asia in 2013. Through fellowships and residential writing workshops, South Asian scientists (including social scientists) will be trained and supported to: -Publish in peer reviewed journals, -Write for different types of publication aimed at a range of audiences, -Increase their influence on policy, -Raise the profile of their research through the media.
The project is managed by a group of four institutions, all with considerable experience of capacity-building activities (including running writing workshops and supporting and mentoring authors for various types of publications), producing and editing special issues of journals on climate related issues, and working with scientists and the media to improve communication and understanding. Selection Criteria: Preference will be given to applicants who score well on the relevant criteria:
-have a research activity that can be considered for support to produce a publication during the period of the Fellowship. The quality of the research and proposed paper will be the main criteria for successful application.
-are in early or mid-career. Those in more senior positions may apply if they can demonstrate that it would significantly increase their contribution to science through peer review publication;
-have already demonstrated capacity to publish by having appeared in a non-international journal, working paper or other format;
- (where relevant) have recently completed a doctoral thesis from which a publication is a significant possibility
